Book cover for "Tipping Point: A Life Lost" by Jack Simmons. The cover features an orange background with the silhouette of three people in safety vests and helmets looking at a large, toppled crane or industrial structure. There are birds flying in the sky.

There comes a time when machinery reaches its point of balance where there is no return to vertical. This happens too when the human spirit will not tolerate law breakers and cruel men and women.

A Tipping Point is reached when Jack Simmons and Cherry Murphy with the help of their friends finally reach a point of no return. When their sense of fair play and what is right reaches and exceeds their own Tipping Point.

Enough is enough! Jack and Cherry are sent to investigate a simple construction site accident, but it’s anything but simple. A man has died. Was this an accident or was it engineered?

Jack and Cherry travel to London, North Wales, Kent, The Isle of Wight and into Ukraine to learn the truth of what was so critical it killed a family man.

The investigation that Jack and Cherry embark on, reveals that the dead man was targeted by a vicious Russian gang. ‘The Clan’ that organized his death, couldn’t let the truth of their despicable human slave trade come out.

The gang headed by Dragos De Santos was on a clean-up mission. Cherry and Jack decided to begin their own clean up mission.

This book is dedicated to the real Cherry Murphy.

A gold-colored map of Alaska and the Yukon with city and geographical labels, overlaid on a dark background with two women walking on a city street at night in the foreground. The title 'GOLD' by Jack Simmons is at the bottom in large gold letters.

Gold is the second book in the De Santos Trilogy by Jack Simmons, a new writer to the Crime Novel genre, using his knowledge and experience of private investigations, working with police forces throughout his career.

He is now teamed with his life partner, the indomitable Cherry Murphy who has similar experiences and built quite a reputation in the Uk before joining Jack bth in business and life.

They are inseparable, they think alike but come at projects from different angles. Jack sees the braod picture, whereas Cherry sees the detail, what they both closely observe is behaviour.

Police forces become to rely on them, they see the benefit of their involvement, sometimes reluctantly. However, in both Tipping Point and Gold they are useful and to the authorities, expendable.

On the journey they begin to build a team from some surprising sources. Can they bring the criminal organisation to justice or are they out of their depth. Time will tell. Some may have to pay the price on the journey.

Jack and Cherry are not the kind to back off, so the gloves are off and they may never be the same again.
